Great Modern City
Dallas is a really cool city with a lot going on. It feels very modern and clean, and it's easy to get around the main areas. Loved the food trucks at Klyde Warren Park, a great spot to just relax. Lots to see without feeling too overwhelmed.
Fantastic Arts District
The arts scene here is fantastic. We spent most of our time in the Arts District, which is huge and has so many world-class museums all in one place. It's very walkable and we found some nice cafes for a quick bite between exhibits.
Shopper's Paradise
Dallas has some of the best shopping I've ever experienced. NorthPark Center is massive and has everything. The food is also incredible, with options from casual BBQ joints to upscale dining. Perfect for a retail therapy trip.
A Moving Historical Visit
Visiting the historical sites was the main reason for our trip. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is incredibly well done and very moving. It's a somber but essential part of the city's story. The whole area is very well preserved.
Cool Neighborhoods to Explore
Loved exploring the different neighborhoods. Deep Ellum has a cool, alternative feel with all the murals and live music venues. We found some amazing Texas brisket there. It's a great place to walk around and see a different side of the city.
Perfect for Families
We were looking for a family-friendly getaway and this was perfect. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is beautiful and the kids loved having so much space to run around. The city felt safe and people were very friendly to us.
